Some lady has carved our initials
On every tree.
She should leave me alone
Since she drives me to the brink
Of harvesting timber.
I see she wants to control me
But I have nothing more to say.
None of us know where we are going
And, no matter what, we shouldn’t know
Regardless of whatever we do.
