My Black Gold

Lost in my search to find
Mining through continents;
All I once found were plated
Fading away with ages.
Oh she is my black gold
In Africa the land of my birth
I found her
In her hut of gladness my dwelling, my life saver from endless mine!
Her beauty is not refined
But defined in angelic purity.
My precious-precious!
Even the gods want to tap you like palm-wine but I told them that you are mine
And they blessed me in jealousy.
I tried to see if her black could fade away
But she proved me wrong after several wash.
Her strength lies in the content of character, a complete woman!
With kola-nut and other price untold have I paid for her to be mine, mine alone.
I love this black gold till death takes my last
Nothing else could matter, please don't ask!
She is all I've got, my only begotten
Always be mine, mine to the end.
Even when I fall like the falls
She is my sunshine that snows away every alien fever
Never you go away, my Ivie!
Stay with me, my Omomo!
In this hut there is no hurt,
Please stay with me, my oh mine!
