About Kim Dower
Kim Dower is a contemporary American poet. She is the author of 4 poetry books including Air Kissing on Mars, published in 2010 which was on the Poetry Foundation’s Contemporary Best Sellers list and described by the Los Angeles Times as, sensual and evocative . . . seamlessly combining humor and heartache. Her second book Slice of Moon was published in 2013, and Last Train to the Missing Planet in 2016. Her poems have been featured in The Writer's Almanac, Academy of American Poets, Poem-a-Day, and are widely anthologized. Her fourth collection, Sunbathing on Tyrone Power’s Grave poems are described as exuberant, sexy and sobering. However all Kim Dower’s poems are considered as remarkable and known for their extraordinary range.
