About Kazi Nazrul Islam
Kazi Nazrul Islam (1899 - 1976), the national and rebel poet of Bangladesh, is the name of a reverend personality in Bengali literature whose contribution to Bengali literature is unprecedented. He enriched different wings of literature with his profound creations. He didn’t leave any genre of literature untouched. In addition, he was an exemplary political figure during his time and yet today. He perceived our pathos, observed the irregularities existing in our society and tried to dispel all ominous exercise out of our society. He also tried to reshape our so-called autocratic system and dreamt a utopian world. Throughout his life, he devoted himself to establish a world free from all evils through his exploding writings and subsequently he became an ideal person in the political arena. Because of his very insurgent movement he was bestowed with a title ‘BIDROHI KOBI (The Rebel Poet).
