I keep driving,
the drops of blood falling,
Elsewhere in my mind. I enter the room,
Put on the air condition,
A glass of lemonade overflowing my thirst.
I open the newspaper, and pass my eyes over,
Hundreds falling in a war, in a strange land.
In the backyard of my mind is the pup with closing eyes,
Some one had the mercy to put under a tree shade,
The drops of blood, now, a deluge around it,
Death, a blowing patch of white innocence at the center.
