About Eric Tran
Eric Tran is a Vietnamese American poet and writer living in Asheville, NC, where he is also an associate editor at Orison Books. His debut book of poems, The Gutter Spread Guide to Prayer (Autumn House Press, 2020), won the Autumn House Press Emerging Writer's contest. He is also the author of the chapbooks Revisions and Affairs with Men in Suits (Backbone Press, 2014). His work has been featured in Poetry Daily and Best of the Net and appears or is forthcoming in Pleiades, Iowa Review, 32 Poems, and elsewhere. He is also the author of Mouth, Sugar, and Smoke (Diode Editions, Spring 2022) as well as the chapbooks Revisions (Sibling Rivalry Press, 2018). He is an Associate Editor for Orison Books.He is a resident physician in psychiatry at the Mountain Area Health Education Center, graduated from the UNC School of Medicine, and holds an MFA from UNC Wilmington.
