Do not whisper your secrets where the winds blow
They will carry them into ears you may never know
So also they say
Do not leave your stories on leaves quick to dry
They will only end up in ashes to make you cry
There is a menace out there
Causing the predator to quit for later
Leaving the prey forgetting to even pray
Dare not interfere
Fire is setting the rules for the day
So who dares stand in his way?
When you see the rat run forgetting it’s a game
And the hounds run past forgetting their aim
Then watch where you stand
Lest it be the way of the scared asses
They know the vultures can hover or land
But not for them, not their carcasses
The monkey hangs on a dry wood
So he thanks his star
Now the world can burn
Forgetting soon he too will char
But only postponing his turn
