by Christina Marie True
Nobody knows
how damaged she is.
She thinks its her fault.
But it’s really his.
He talks down to her,
with words of hate.
When she comes home,
she knows what awaits.
She never has
just one silent night.
Her nights end,
with tears from a fight.
She is ashamed
of the scars on her wrist.
But wait till you hear
the stories twist.
This person that is making
her feel all this bother.
Is no one other than
her very own father.
He calls her a mistake,
and treats her like hell
But if you take one look at her
You can barely tell.
As she walks down the halls,
with her head hung low.
All she can think
is “nobody knows.”
