About Charles Webb
Charles Webb (June 9, 1939, San Francisco, CA – June 16, 2020, Eastbourne) was an American poet and novelist. He is best known for his novel The Graduate (1963), which found great success with the 1967 film The Graduate. Among Webb's other work, the novel The Marriage of a Young Stockbroker was made into a feature film with Richard Benjamin and Joanna Shimkus, and his novel New Cardiff was made into a film titled Hope Springs. It was reported in 1992 by The Washington Post that Webb was working on a new book titled Lies.
