Love's Confession

Love is scary, Love is tough,
Its not a thing where you can bluff,
It doesnt work 9 out of 10 times,
But not giving it a shot is the biggest of crimes.

This is why I want you to give us a try,
Dont listen to the questions in your head, dont ask why,
Cause if you give me a chance,
I shall always be the one with whom you will have the last dance.

The first time I saw you, you were dressed in blue,
I knew then, the myths of angels walking on earth was true,
When you smiled, it blew my mind,
It felt like the chains around my heart were finally unwind.

I worry that you may never feel the way I do,
To these feelings you engender, I do not wish to bid adieu,
Hence I write these few lines to tell you how I feel,
From you, your heart I hope to steal.

Minute by minute, day by day,
I try to find the perfect words to say,
Yet, I feel you are not yet ready,
But I fear that too much time has passed by already.

I messaged you once, that I liked you a lot,
a reply I still await, Alas, you do know, for you I have a weak spot,
I dont wish to rush you at all,
But for you, hopelessly, I have taken a fall.

Its a foolish hope that lingers on,
That grows stronger with every dawn,
Someday, the dawn would be after I would have confessed,
If you say yes, I would be twice blessed.
