As I brush my teeth
(120 seconds give or take)
spreading fluoride and charcoal
evenly over every side
I try to recall the precise
tone of voice in which
you agreed that yes
it was good to see me.

Were you sincere or am I
giving this moment
too much significance?
Either way my teeth are clean
another cavity averted.
