by Ram Krishna Singh
God
not helplessness alone
but man’s mortality
too
the guardian angel
keeps alive hope against
locked doors
one day I’ll sleep well
and get up refreshed
with no black halo
screams of fear or pain
in myself I’d end
or go as rain in sand
leaving no trace
and
no place to return
too
