He Dreamed

In the Year of the Good Lord
- 1965

He needed to send an angel
He knew would survive

She would have to face
A whole host of pain

If she could accomplish this
Into His embrace she would gain

She trotted and she skipped
She even ran

For somehow she knew
He was her biggest fan

She had never met him
Standing face-to-face

But she was convinced
She carried His grace

As each additional hurt
Came along her way

She leaned upon her Father
Both at night and during the day

She frollicked and laughed
He was so very proud

Even when she took advantage
of things not allowed

He knew His reward
For her life would be

Something the whole world
Would need to see
