by John Franklin Darus
My being is like a steadfast train on tracks
Looking out are the challenges that will attack
While a look within, there is a different speed
but dwelling there the challenges will still not heed
To the tracks I will always remain a slave
For I know not how they were chosen to be laid
While I may enjoy the tranquility that is found within
I must focus on the tracks that will not bend
Staying the course shall remain my goal
For any wavering, it is my fate that would be sold
So I shall remain diligent to see where the train may go
For if I not, this train will surely slow
