by Charles Morgan
A few assertive dancers embrace
the whole of the ceremony.
The music provides a mystic air.
While a silent conservative
hovers near another (He ignores
it all): preoccupied in his
drink and smoke...
In the corners of the hall
the young lovers cuddle and
steal smooches.
Each awaits a final
decree.
