Life has not gone well since i ran over the dog
and i would say not for him either
but considering how little i know
he may be enjoying himself
I’ve run out in front of juggernauts myself
yapping at the hand that parts the air
so i know something about doggedness
and even what it feels like to be put down
but i don’t know how to grieve
for an old black dog or my own rent soul
