What You Know

Your lover/enemy
will never absolve you for leaving
while you had something left to give.
You know irrevocably
that you will never again lie powerless
to suit the convenience of another.
You know you will not be remembered
for any solace you offered,
or for your generosity.
Since joy is freedom,
there was no real joy.
It's time to kill all this,
