Secrets locked in a four chamber room
the door opened far enough
allowing a glimpse
of what is kept hidden
Many walk pass
no one dare enter
Inside a light brilliant and intense
making all those who are lucky enough
to cross her threshold weary
Who will make the journey
stand where no one has before?
Who will look into the blinding rays of the sun
courageous in their own vulnerability?
The mirror near the open window
is cold and harsh
its reflective surface
is difficult to see
the definitions drawn
Deep and blue
she gazes in
acknowledging your fear
her smilng erases all worry
Two hands cupped before you
she holds a key
offering both
opening and closing
