To Know You More

To know you more.
To serve you, Lord by actually caring
for the poor, the sick, and despairing
and those who are dying,
each and every day,
Lord Jesus -
To know you more.

To heal the hurt,
where love is contraband, every hand
full of guilt not free, fully engaged
in saving their souls, their hearts enraged
against wrongs done, but closed to grace.
Lord Jesus -
To know you more.

Battles, won and lost.
It doesn't matter the cost, for the lost
are out there
and they don't know you.
A matter of life,
or death.
